What is a Full Body Sports Massage Treatment ?

A full body sports massage treatment with covers all of your muscles in your neck, shoulders, back, arms and legs and excludes your hands, feet, head, face, abdomen and groin.

With a Sports Massage treatment specific attention is given to all major muscle groups and their supporting tendons and ligaments and although this treatment will leave you feeling relaxed, this is where any similarity ends with a therapeutic massage.

This treatment should not be mistaken for a therapeutic massage which is usually offered in Spa's or massage parlours.

Some of the muscle groups treated during this treatment are:

Trapezius, Deltoids, Triceps, Biceps, Brachioradialis, Rhomboids, Latissimus dorsi, Quadriceps, Hamstrings Gastrocnemius and Soleus.

This treatment aims to reduce pain by removing inflammation within the soft tissues, reducing muscle soreness, removing spasms or knots and increasing range of movement.

Sports Massage can involve a much greater pressure being applied and where necessary deep tissue massage techniques may be used by the therapist to achieve the desired effect which is to be used as a restorative or as a rehabilitative sports massage.

So if you are looking to alleviate pain caused by an injury or dysfunction and get yourself back to your optimum state why not give me a call now.
