Do you suffer with Jaw Pain ?

So, to rule out any dental problems you've been to see your dentist and they have ruled out any issues connected to your teeth and yet you still have jaw pain ?

Sometimes the pain travels from your jaw up to your temple, its aggravated when you eat or talk and it seems like your over stretching your mouth even when your mouth is hardly open !

Sometimes it feels as though it effects your whole being, making you feel lethargic and subdued.

You may be surprised to know that SportsMassage4u.com may be able to help you,

as Sports & Clinical Massage therapists we treat both (TMD) Temporomandibular disorders and other issues related to mandibular nerve pain and soft tissue disfunctions in the jaw.

TMD is not just one disorder, but a group of conditions, often painful, that affect the temporomandibular joint and the muscles that control chewing and appears to affect about twice as many women as men.

symptoms often include:

Limited movement or locking of the jaw.

Radiating pain in the face, neck, or shoulders.

Painful clicking, popping or grating sounds in the jaw joint when opening or closing the mouth.

Sudden, major change in the way the upper and lower teeth fit together.

The mandibular nerve, plays an important role in moving your mouth,

it splits off from the trigeminal nerve to connect with the lower jaw.

It plays both a motor and sensory role in your head as well as interacting with fibres of other cranial nerves.

It is the largest of the three branches of the trigeminal nerve, which is the fifth cranial nerve. The trigeminal nerve is responsible for feeling in your face as well as biting and chewing motions.
